While an impressive idea for game the only thing I seriously dislike is the addition of Superman into the mix. True, Superman is vulnerable to both Kryptonite and magic, but seriously, not all characters are going to be using magic constantly to battle him. It is simply an unrealistic and poor addition to the game. Now, it will not stop me from getting it, but I cannot stress enough have distasteful it is having Superman in this game -- because he can kick everyones butt, period, and I like it that way (with only Superman though).

Seriously, would it have been that hard to write in a simple storyline whereby Superman is temporarily trapped somewhere? Ok, enough ranting on that.

Finally some great games are out!

Well, I was looking forward to Spore, I even linked to the creature creator awhile ago in my upcoming games section.

Now, thanks to Digg and this arstechnica article, I am glad I didn't see this on a store shelf and blindly pick it up.

I will not buy draconian DRM ridden software from you EA. And yes, I seriously DID intend to buy this game until I read that article. I have no intention of getting it for free via piracy as well, I want to support things I (at least think) will enjoy. But I will not support being treated like a criminal with products I legitimately purchased...granted, I use Vista, but you cannot play games on Linux and rather we like it or not it really is a necessary evil, but I draw the line there.

So, do not buy Spore! First, the DRM issues need to go, then it seems they need to polish it just a tad more. Granted, had the DRM issue not existed, I would have still bought it and tried it out at least...

...Oh well...
